If seven weeks is not soon enough, we can manufacture a custom door sooner if you choose the Rush Option. Ship Times from Colorado Springs RUSH – 2 WEEKS LESS TO SHIP Your door leaves the shop seven weeks from order confirmation. Example: 48″ X 98″ door with a 18″ X 98″ sidelight will get you a door and sidelight combo that measures 66″ X 98″ (the rough opening size should be somewhere around 66 1/2″ X 98 1/2″). The door will be built with the sidelight attached so be sure to input the height of the door and the height of the sidelight the same. When inputting the net frame size you want to put in a number that is at least a half inch less than the rough opening size to allow room to square and level the unit. This is the size of the actual Sidelight jamb. For larger sizes please contact us Glass Sidelight Placement on Door All you need to do is tell us what kind of sidelights you want, what size they should be and what kind of glass you want. We build sidelights directly into the door unit, so the jamb and sidelights connect seamlessly. In many cases, customers wish to purchase sidelights for their door units. If you have a 48″ x 96″ door, a 12″ left sidelight and a 22″ right sidelight, your total unit width would be 12″ sidelight + 2″ post + 4 8″ door + 2″ post + 22″ sidelight, totaling 86″ in width (the rough opening size should be somewhere around 86 1/2″ X 96 1/2″). For example, if you have a 48″ x 96″ door and a 12″ left sidelight, your total unit width would be 48″ door + 2″ post + 12″ sidelight, totaling 52″ in width (the rough opening size should be somewhere around 52 1/2″ X 96 1/2″). The door will be built with the sidelight as a separate unit so be sure to factor in the 2″ structural post into your net sizes. This is the size of the actual Door jamb and Sidelight jamb combined. Double sidelights can be of different sizes. If you want a double sidelight, simply a size under both the the Right Sidelight and Left Sidelight options. If you want a 12″ sidelight that is on the right side when viewed from the exterior, click on the dropdown options under “Right Sidelight” and select the option: 12″ right sidelight. Sidelight placement is specified with reference to the exterior view. You can choose between the following sidelight configurations: For example, if you have a 48″ wide door and a 12″ left sidelight, your total unit width would be 48″ door + 2″ post + 12″ sidelight, totaling 52″ in width. The size of your sidelights will be the size of the separate sidelight unit. We do not provide this structural support. You will need a 2 inch structural support post installed between the sidelights and door frame. The Ogden sidelights are built as a separate unit.
